Produced by hand in Coventry England, the Mk II sedan was beautiful and classy. It was a wickedly fast car owned by city bankers and bank robbers alike uncatchable at a getaway speed of 125 mph. Powered by 3.8 Litre XK 6-cylinder engine, fitted with twin SU carbs and twin exhaust system, this all steel machine registers 4000 miles since restoration.
The Mk II was not a product for the masses. Powerfully built and armored with chrome its external personality features its unique chromed radiator grille, large chromed window frames, chromed heavy duty wrap-around bumpers, chromed wing mirrors, special push button chrome door handles, it was the first model to produce the 72 chromed spoke wheels.
The interior exudes opulence – deep pile red wool carpet, flush fitted wood tables, polished burl walnut instument panel with toggle switches and dials that read like a wartime bomber.
A jewel of a show car, it won Best in Saloon Class, Championship Division, 2006 Concours D’Elegance event.
